I love the clean, classic looks of so many clothing designers, and get my fix from friends in the industry, magazines, this guy, and, even sometimes, buying a special piece from a local designer that I treasure. I feel Sarah Drake should reflect this inspiration as a company, and have decided to start offering our products in this spirit. We'll be offering our ready-to-wear line of wedding invitations next month, but, in the meantime, we just couldn't wait, and wanted to share with you this little sneak peek of the line...so, for the Spring/Summer 2012 season, we introduce our watercolor notecards!
These little gems are so fun to make! Aptly, the paper is actually made from recycled cotton fibers from the garmet industry, so it's 100% cotton fiber paper that we are starting with, which is perfect for watercolor. The paper is dipped in water, then a little watercolor paint is applied to the edge, so that the color travels up the card in the spirit of ombré. (had to play with ombré, we love this trend!)
So, we hope you'll keep checking back for our re-organized site, and line of invitations, where we'll show you how to choose wedding invitations based on your personal style... AND, as always, our couture collection, which will highlight the love stories of our clients from this year, and how we bring their personalities to our paper and home products.
