I've always been up for a challenge- it seems that the challenge makes the completion of a project even more satisfying. If it was easy, would it be so great? When I was in seventh grade, my english teacher assigned a book report. To read and then write a four page typed report. She gave us the assignment, and then the due date. I have no idea how long she gave us to complete this project; but I distinctly remember her advice given to us that day in the school library, "Since you don't have very much time, don't choose anything long, like Gone with the Wind." So what did I do? Went right over to the Ms and checked out Gone with the Wind. I mean, it has over 1000 pages. But I read it, wrote the report, and got an A. So begins a lifetime of self-imposed challenges and satisfaction of achieving those goals. Like this winter: our deadline of releasing 15 new designs, all designed, printed, photographed, and uploaded to our site by February 14th. We're getting there, but I ask myself, why do I do this to myself? I mean just look at my desktop!
IÂ hope you guys love the outcome, and here's a little sneak peek of what we'll be releasing (very soon!) as part of our 2013 Wedding Invitation Collection:
A huge thank you to Julia Franzosa for shooting these sneaks- head on over to her blog to see the rest of the images from our studio open house last week. Also, the night wouldn't have come together without the floral decor from Pollen, and her help putting our thank you notes together, and sweets courtesy of Katherine Anne Confections. And, go see Hello Darling's photos of the same night- so lucky to have such wonderful cheerleaders in Chicago!
